Community Internet Project Needs Your Assistance

KAXE has received a nine month grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to do an exciting new experiment in community journalism. As part of the project, we are looking for a managing editor either as an intern or on a contract basis from December 2008 to August 2009. There is a full job description at http://www.northerncommunityinternet.org/classifieds.php?classifiedid=352. We need your help in finding candidates to fill the position. If you know of someone you think might be qualified please pass along this message and the link.

We are also looking for people with established community relationships to do community outreach in Hibbing, Brainerd and Grand Rapids. These are contract positions at $500 per month. You can find a partial job description at http://www.northerncommunityinternet.org/classifieds.php?classifiedid=354

We plan to have stable community sites in four communities beginning in January. They will be found at the same site as the current "beta" version, www.northerncommunityinternet.org.
