“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.” Dr. Seuss, The Lorax

I love Dr. Seuss. His simple children’s books have some profound thoughts in them.

Here’s something you can do to make things better and it only takes a touch of your finger. Copy and paste the following in your browser:

The Hunger Site allows you to help starving people and you don’t have to be rich or run yourself ragged to do it. Take a tour of the site. It explains how the program works. Sign up for the reminder, so you won’t forget to do your part every day.

The site also gives you opportunities to fight breast cancer, help children receive healthcare, give free books, protect the habitat, and help animals. Just think of the difference you can make in one day.

Isn’t it amazing how easy some special people have made it for us armchair heroes to save the world? If ever you’re inclined to give up on our sorry species of materialists, jump on your computer and find a way to help someone. Yes, I know it would be far braver to walk down your street and help your neighbor or take a trip to an undeveloped country. But some of us can’t do that. At least this way, we can do something.
